Mother unimpressed by Malik tattoos
One Direction star Zayn Malik has revealed his mother has given him grief about his ever-growing tattoo collection.
The singer said he has reassured her that the designs covering his arms and body will look acceptable when he reaches later life.
His extensive collection includes a large microphone, cartoonish lettering and a stylised picture of his fiancee Perrie Edwards from X Factor winners Little Mix.
In an interview with the latest edition of Top Of The Pops magazine he said: " Obviously mums don't really like tattoos, and she's a bit like, 'when you're older, what are you going to do?'.
"But I think when I'm an older bloke, they'll still look cool," he added.
The group - named the most popular act in the world in 2013 in a study earlier this week - have just unveiled the video for their next single Midnight Memories which is released on March 9.
