This is the shocking moment an unarmed black man is fatally shot in the head during a traffic stop by a white police officer.
The disturbing footage was released as the policeman, Ray Tensing, was charged with murdering 43-year-old Samuel DuBose.
Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters said he "purposely killed" the driver in a "senseless" and "unnecessary" attack.
The incident happened on July 19 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and was recorded by a camera mounted on the officer's body.
"If there was no camera at that scene, the media and everybody would have taken the word of Tensing and the other officers," Mr Deters said.
Tensing, 25, pulled Mr DuBose over because of a missing front licence plate, which is required in Ohio but not in neighbouring states.
In the video, the officer speaks calmly as he repeatedly asks for a driver's licence, before Mr DuBose admits he does not have one on him.
The driver then appears to try to start the engine and drive off.
Tensing seems to attempt to grab him with one arm while holding his gun in the other, when the weapon fires.
He then chases the car which comes to a stop on the pavement.
Tensing's lawyer Stewart Mathews says the officer, who has been sacked and could face up to life in prison if convicted, thought he was going to be dragged under the car and "feared for his life".
DuBose's death sparked demonstrations in Cincinnati and comes after a series of high profile killings of unarmed black people in America.
