Tommy Robinson filmed ‘punching England fan' at Nations League game

Tommy Robinson was seen on video appearing to punch an England fan in the face

Former EDL founder Tommy Robinson has been filmed apparently punching an England football fan to the ground outside the team's game in Portugal.

The far-right campaigner was filmed surrounded by several of his supporters outside the stadium in Guimaraes, Portugal during the Nations League semi-final.

In video footage circulating on social media, one man puts his arm around a man, who is believed to be Robinson.

There is an inaudible exchange between the two groups, before people can be heard swearing.

The 36-year-old then walks towards an England fan wearing a red away shirt.

He can be seen in the clip suddenly launching a single punch, which appears to strike the man, violently knocking him to the ground.

Robinson, who is wearing a green army jacket in the clip, then walks away as the man struggles to get back on his feet.

Last month Robinson failed to secure a seat as an MEP during the European elections and lost his £5,000 deposit.
