The Queen's granddaughter Zara Tindall is expecting her second child with her husband Mike.

The silver medal winning Olympic equestrian Zara and her ex-England rugby player husband Mike are already parents to three-year-old daughter Mia Grace.

Zara fell pregnant in 2016 but miscarried in December.

A spokeswoman for the couple said: "I can confirm Zara is pregnant with her second child."

A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: "The Queen and members of the royal family were very pleased to hear this news."

The Tindalls made the annoucement after enjoying holiday to Australia, and were missing from the traditional Royal Christmas in Sandringham.

Their new baby will be the Queen and Prince Philip's seventh great-grandchild.

Zara's cousin Prince William and Kate are themselves expecting a baby in April. That child will be the Queen's sixth great-grandchild.

Zara, 36, and 39-year-old Mike have been married since 2011.

Their baby will be a second cousin to Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who call their great-grandmother the Queen "Gan Gan".

Zara is also one of George's godmothers.
