Tom Parker today announced that his inoperable brain tumour has “significantly reduced” in size as he thanked the “wonderful” NHS.

The 32-year-old Wanted star announced in October that he had a stage 4 glioblastoma and was to undergo treatment.  He suffered a seizure in July and was put on the waiting list for an MRI, which led to the diagnosis.

Today, the singer told fans his treatment was going well. He wrote on Instagram: “SIGNIFICANT REDUCTION. These are the words I received today and I can’t stop saying them over and over again.

“I had an MRI scan on Tuesday and my results today were a significant reduction to the tumour and I am responding well to treatment.

“Everyday I’m keeping on the fight to shrink this b*****d!  ‘I can’t thank our wonderful NHS enough. You’re all having a tough time out there but we appreciate the work you are all doing on the front line.”

Father-of-two Parker shared news of his diagnosis online in October. His wife Kelsey Hardwick, who he married in 2018, was heavily pregnant with their son Bodhi when they made the announcement.

In a shared message posted on Instagram, he and wife actress Kelsey Hardwick wrote: “Hey guys, you know that we’ve both been quiet on social media for a few weeks and it’s time to tell you why.

“There’s no easy way to say this but I’ve sadly been diagnosed with a Brain Tumour and I’m already undergoing treatment."

They continued: “We decided, after a lot of thought, that rather than hiding away and trying to keep it a secret, we would do one interview where we could lay out all the details and let everyone know the facts in our own way.

“We are all absolutely devastated but we are gonna fight this all the way.

“We don’t want your sadness, we just want love and positivity and together we will raise awareness of this terrible disease and look for all available treatment options.

“It’s gonna be a tough battle but with everyone’s love and support we are going to beat this. Tom and Kelsey xxx”

Bodhi was born in late October. The couple also share Aurelia, who was born in 2019.
