Stormzy and Wilfried Zaha among winners at Best of Africa Awards

Stormzy was among the winners at an awards ceremony celebrating the influence of Africa in sport and entertainment.

The Best of Africa Awards saw music stars join Premier League footballers to mark the contribution and impact of those with African heritage in the UK.

Grime star Stormzy secured an award for his philanthropic work in education, Wilfried Zaha was given the award for leadership for his charitable work in the Cote d’Ivoire and with the Crystal Palace women’s teams, while former Lioness Eniola Aluko was given the award for Philanthropic Endeavour.

Brixton-raised NBA star Luol Deng received a Lifetime Achievement award at the event on Sunday night.

Other attendees at the eighth annual awards included Chelsea and France star N’Golo Kante, and Rio Ferdinand.
