Rap star Professor Green back in hospital after five-hour hernia operation

Rap star Professor Green has been taken back to hospital having undergone a five-hour hernia operation, sending worried fans in meltdown on social media.

The Hackney-born artist had three hernias removed this week, sharing pictures of the ordeal from his hospital bed on Instagram having tweeted his troubles over ‘Henry the hernia’ for the past year.

He revealed on Instagram yesterday he had been admitted back to hospital with a “bloating” and was back in hospital.

The rapper posted: “After ending up back in the hospital (due to bloating post surgery)I've now got one of these in my stomach draining it. The joys. When people say 'Health is wealth' it really is, isn't it."

Professor Green had undergone incisional surgery on Tuesday, writing to his 700,000 followers, “Today's the day! Hiatus and incisional hernia bye bye.”

He later said: “5 1/2 hours later... I'm back b***es.”

The rapper has been inundated with messages from worried fans wishing him a speedy recovery, with the star having posted concerned looking pictures from his hospital bed.

Musedrones15 posted: “Hope you are soon back on your feet best wishes to you for a speedy recovery.”

Mandi Hales posted: “Can't believe this is still not sorted after all that time! you look a broken man! Easy does.”
