Fashion For The Brave at the Dorchester last night was a show to raise funds for the injured of the Household Cavalry and the British Forces Foundation.

It was organised by fashion editor Hilary Alexander and patrons included James Blunt, Jasper Conran, Sienna Miller and Harold Tilman.

Blunt is a patron because it was 10 years ago that he ended his six years’ service in the Household Cavalry and left the Army to pursue a music career.

He told the Standard earlier this week that he still has “masses” of friends in the forces, and their plight as a result of funding cuts and equipment shortages is one of the few issues that really animates him in the island paradise of Ibiza, where he now lives.
