EuroMillions jackpot won in France

A ticket bought in France has scooped the EuroMillions jackpot of about £89 million, organisers said.

The winning numbers were 30, 16, 41, 38 and 6. The Lucky Star numbers were 2 and 4.

A National Lottery spokesman said: "It's been really exciting for players all over Europe.

"Even though a UK player wasn't lucky enough to scoop the big one this time, to date more than £1 billion has been paid out in EuroMillions prize money and more than 69 million individual EuroMillions prizes have been won in the UK - plus the nation has still benefited through the money raised for good causes."

Next week's EuroMillions jackpot is estimated to be £13 million.
