Labour MP Eric Joyce, 51, today denied claims that he had had a "secret affair" with a 17-year-old schoolgirl who helped on his election campaign.
A Scottish tabloid claimed the Falkirk MP, facing assault charges after a brawl in a Commons bar last week, had a "romance" with Meg Lauder, now 19. Mr Joyce told the Standard the claims were false, adding he would be taking legal advice.
The former Army major is separated from his second wife.
