Driver dies as high winds grip UK

A lorry driver died after his vehicle was blown over as high winds brought chaos to Britain.

Winds of up to 80mph are affecting large parts of southern and northern England and Scotland.

The 45-year-old man died when his HGV was swept into the central reservation near junction 38 of the M6 in Tebay, Cumbria.
