Dog walker murder: Man facing court

A man is due to appear in court charged with the murder of a teaching assistant who was fatally stabbed while out walking her dog.

The body of Sally Garwood, 34, from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, was found on playing fields by passers-by on Saturday afternoon.

A post-mortem examination revealed she died from stab wounds.

Robert Cusworth, 24, from Aylesbury, will appear at Aylesbury Magistrates' Court, charged with her murder.

Officers were called to the scene, near Meadowcroft, Aylesbury, at 3.38pm by the South Central Ambulance Service.

Thames Valley Police said Cusworth and Ms Garwood, who worked in a local school, did not know each other.
