The twin brother of a man who was killed along with his new wife in a quad biking accident on their honeymoon in the Maldives has described the couple as "soulmates".
Newlyweds Jonathan and Emma Gray, from Halifax, West Yorkshire, were killed when the machine they were passengers on crashed into a tree just a few days into their honeymoon on the Kuredu Island Resort.
The couple, both aged 25, have a baby boy called Jake who did not go with them on the trip and is being looked after by a grandparent.
Jonathan's twin brother Michael said both families are struggling to come to terms with the deaths.
He said: "We're just devastated - absolutely on our knees. We're in shock and all pulling together as one big family. They were the perfect couple. They were soulmates and their little boy was so special to them. Jake's with us at the moment, with family."
He added: "They were both high flyers, both doing well in their careers. They had such a great future ahead of them. They'll be greatly missed."
He said the couple knew each other as neighbours when they were young and met up again years later and fell in love. They wed in Ripponden and held their reception at Halifax's Holdsworth House, the Halifax Courier reported.
Around a dozen floral tributes were left at the couple's home in Halifax on Sunday, with teddy bears and an empty bottle of champagne. Friends of the couple visited the house to lay flowers and console each other.
Mrs Gray was a teacher at Holy Trinity Primary School in Halifax. Her husband worked as a manager at a kitchen design firm. A governor at Holy Trinity Primary School, the Rev Martin Russell, said a special service had been held in memory of Mrs Gray at Holy Trinity and St Jude's Church.
Maldives Police Service said officers are investigating what happened to the honeymooners. A third person was also injured in the crash and is in hospital.
