Donald Trump’s presidential campaign manager has resigned just two months after taking up the position.
Paul Manafort took control of Trump's campaign when Corey Lewandowski was fired from the role in June.
Political strategist Mr Manafort, 67, announced his resignation on Friday.
Republican presidential candidate Mr Trump confirmed the move in a statement and descried Mr Manafort's as a "true professional"
He is stepping down in the wake of a campaign shake-up, as well as revelations about his ties to a pro-Russian political party in Ukraine.
It was revealed on Thursday that Mr Manafort's firm worked on a Washington lobbying operation on behalf of Ukraine's then-ruling President Victor Yanukovych.
The reason for his resignation is not yet known.
