Almost two-thirds of Londoners would never consider voting for Donald Trump — but only 11 per cent think Hillary Clinton is a “great” candidate, a poll reveals.

When asked, “Would you consider voting for Donald Trump?” just under 65 per cent of the 1,000 people surveyed by market research company Attest answered: “Never.”

Fewer than five per cent of Londoners said they would back Mr Trump if they could vote in the US election on November 8. But 27 per cent of those questioned said they understood his appeal to disillusioned voters.

Only 11 per cent of people gave Mrs Clinton their full backing and described her as a “great” candidate. Almost half said she was “OK”.

Jeremy King, of Attest, said: “It’s no surprise to see that the majority of Londoners would not vote for Donald Trump. I think post-Brexit the majority are still very worried by what the future has in store.”
