Ed Miliband was mobbed by a group of screaming women after a hen party crossed paths with his election battle bus.

The Labour leader pulled up to a hotel in Chester with his entourage after using a speech to pledge to toughen up rules on immigrants speaking English in the UK.

But his bus was soon surround by a group of around 25 woman who were staying at the hotel for a hen party.

Mr Miliband's aides were then persuaded to allow the hen on board to meet the Labour leader.

And shortly after she emerged from the one-on-one meeting, he appeared on the coach steps to chants of "Ed, Ed, Ed!"

Footage of the raucous meeting shows him high-fiving several of the women before posing as they whipped out their phones for a "selfie".

Mr Miliband's reputation appeared to remain in tact after the incident as one member of the group is heard saying "he's so adorable" in footage captured by the Chester Chronicle.

The Labour leader had earlier delivered a speech in Wirral in which he said that only migrants with "sufficient" English should be allowed to work in the NHS.
