Valérie Trierweiler delivers terse words from the shelt

Split: Francois Hollande and Valerie Trierweiler
31 January 2014

François Hollande, French President and crash-helmet enthusiast, told Valérie Trierweiler that it was over in just 18 words. “One for each month together since his election,” the former First Lady observed from her vantage point on the shelf.

Her response to his brevity? An even more terse statement with far more threat. “I do not rule out writing a book,” she said in today’s Parisien magazine.

While Trierweiler keeps busy, actress Julie Gayet, whom Hollande was seen visiting, seems free. She was nominated for a Cesar today but her last film, Les Âmes de Papier, was released at Christmas, with no word on new projects. One would have expected her to be in more demand.
