Last night’s Time 100 dinner at the Shard in honour of the most influential people in the world was attended by Holly Branson and her husband Fred Andrews. There was merriment during the panel discussion before dinner with Dame Zaha Hadid and Victor Pinchuk, the Ukranian billionaire. “As I was chatting to my butler who I took with me to my hotel in the Maldives, I told him he should look at online education,” said Pinchuk. “The internet helped me understand that there are so many poor people. I understood that the gap between rich and poor is big. That is why I joined Warren Buffett’s Giving Pledge to give half of my fortune to good causes.”
