The secret’s out. The duo behind Twitter parody @Pippatips unmasked themselves at the book launch of When One’s Expecting in Fitzrovia last night. The Pippa Middleton spoofers are music-biz insider Mat Morrisroe and Suzanne Azzopardi, of Literary Death Match.
“Despite being a massive joke it’s pretty thoroughly researched,” says Azzopardi. “We’re not parents, so we had to go straight to the horse’s mouth and interview a friend to share her experiences, then turn them into ridiculous jokes.”
The duo hinted that Gwyneth Paltrow’s GOOP website might be their next target but insisted they’re fans of Pippa. “People are just jealous of her £400K advance but she’s trying to make a go of her own life and she’s been a good sport,” says Azzopardi. “It can’t be easy being Kate’s sister. She got the bum deal.”
