Paxo's bad language is just as bad as Russell Brand's

The BBC warned before last night’s Newsnight that a pre-recorded interview with Russell Brand, in which the comic talked with Jeremy Paxman about guest-editing the New Statesman, contained “strong language”. Brand did indeed use the F-word but viewers may have been forgiven for thinking the warning referred to Paxman’s repeated use of the phrase “Can’t be arsed” about Brand’s refusal to vote in elections. You might have thought “Can’t be bothered” is a perfectly acceptable term. Perhaps Paxman was trying to be down wiv da kidz.
