Boris Johnson gets down with the Aussies

The Mayor of London will be opening the Melbourne Writers Festival (sadly, no apostrophe) next Thursday and he will not miss a chance to promote his own literary works.

Boris may also remind the audience of his Australian links — he has fond memories of teaching at Geelong Grammar’s country branch Timbertop, Prince Charles’s old school, in his gap year. Interestingly, his chum Lynton Crosby is in Canberra at the moment keeping an eye on the Australian election for the benefit of David Cameron.
