All the world’s a stage, and last night’s Globe gala dinner was full of the men and women who are players on it, including Zoë Wanamaker and Dame Judi Dench (pictured with, from left to right, her partner David Mills, her daughter, Finty Williams, and Finty’s son, Sammy). The dinner raised funds for the Globe’s new indoor theatre, the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse. Named after Zoë’s father, who founded the Globe, the Jacobean-style theatre will be lit by candlelight and will open its doors early next year.
