A grand dame of British acting was commemorated in the Big Apple last night. Vanessa Redgrave was in New York for the Culture Project Gala at Stage 48, where the Bleecker Street theatre was being renamed after Vanessa’s late sister, the actress Lynn Redgrave, who died in 2010.
Vanessa will be back on British television later this year when she stars opposite Olivia Colman in the BBC’s chilling 90-minute Christmas ghost story, The Thirteenth Tale.
