A new royal anniversary, a new tie

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s Coronation, Thresher & Glenny has created a limited-edition tie.

The tailor has held Royal Warrants since 1783 but hasn’t produced a royal tie since King George V’s silver jubilee in 1935. Pity the firm wasn’t available during last month’s G8 conference, when David Cameron attracted so much flak for going tieless. Perhaps a tie should be popped in the post to him.
