Shoppers have been evacuated from the Westfield shopping centre in east London after a fire.

Customers have been seen being led from fire exits at the centre in Stratford after alarms went off.

"Three fire engines attended to the incident.

"On the scene they found a small fire in the service yard at the premises. The fire was put out and the incident was over at 1:06pm."

Images and videos posted on social media by witnesses showed the shopping centre as it emptied due to the fire alert.

Customers seemed confused as the centre was partially evacuated due to the fire. One customer said on Twitter: "Just been evacuated from Westfield due to an apparent fire. Very Chaotic!"
