VW camper van left gutted after fire in north London

A VW camper van caught alight and was left completely gutted in north London.

Smoke was seen billowing for miles and flames consuming the vehicle in Prince of Wales Road, Kentish Town, at 3.40pm this afternoon.

Fire crews spent under half an hour putting out the fire.

There was nobody in the vintage vehicle at the time and nobody was injured.

Officers are investigating the cause of the fire and whether it was an arson attack.

The fire has caused some traffic problems in the area as the road was temporarily shut.
