Spurs legend Ledley King puts classic Arsenal book Fever Pitch on display for charity

Teaming up: Ledley King at the Noah’s Ark shop, which is partnering with Spurs

Former Spurs captain Ledley King lends a hand at a charity shop by putting the classic Arsenal book Fever Pitch on display.

King was at the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice charity shop in Barnet, helping volunteers to sort through donated clothing, books and household goods, putting out new stock and serving customers.

He chose Nick Hornby’s book, among others, which tells the story of Arsenal’s 1989 league triumph, in recognition of the divided football loyalties of many north Londoners.

The charity provides north London’s only “hospice at home” service, supporting children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families. A two-year partnership with Spurs will raise awareness of its work.

King said: “Noah’s Ark does some amazing work for children and families across north London so if anyone has any old clothes, books, furniture or toys that they aren’t using any more, please don’t throw them away and instead donate them to one of the Noah’s Ark charity shops. It could really help to make a difference to the lives of young people who need our help the most.”
