Police appeal to trace witnesses after fight at Oxford Circus station

Police are appealing for witnesses after a fight broke out at a packed central London Tube station.

Three men were involved in the brawl at Oxford Circus station which left one man needing hospital treatment, police said.

The fight, which sparked in a walkway between two Central Line platforms, started at 9am on Sunday, October 26 when the station was filled with passengers.

Detective Sergeant Andy Jordan, who is leading the investigation, said: “I am keen to speak with anyone who was travelling through Oxford Circus station, or anyone who witnessed the altercation.

"Any information will help us in our investigations so please get in contact with BTP.”

Anyone with information can call 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016, quoting reference B3 of 28/10/14. Information can also be passed anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
