A triple car crash on the M11 has shut two lanes leading out of the capital and stranded a car the wrong side of the barrier.
Traffic is stacking up heading north around junction 4 with the North Circular. Essex Police, who are still on the scene, said they believed no one was badly hurt in the 1.10pm crash, but that one car had been sent flying and managed to clear the hard shoulder before landing in a bush.
Photographs from the scene show the silver car at an angle on the steep bank with police and fire engines nearby.
A spokesman for the Essex force added traffic going southbound was also backed up because of rubberneckers slowing down to look at the scene.

Ben Hewis, who drove past shortly after the collision, said: "Major crash on M11. Car somehow ended up on other side of barrier.
"Two cars were stopped and a third was behind a metal barrier facing the wrong way.. Both ways were closed and fire brigade were clearing debris from the road."
