Concerned family and friends have been provided with a phone number if they wish to check a loved one is safe after Wednesday’s terrorist attack in Westminster.

A knifeman stabbed the policeman before being shot dead by armed officers near the Houses of Parliament.

The attack is the bloodiest in the capital since the 7/7 London bombings in 2005 when 56 people were killed.

The Met provided two phone numbers that can be called if you are concerned about family and friends or if you were involved in the incident and wish to declare that you are safe.
