Thousands of people across the capital fell silent to pay their respects to the victims of the London Bridge terror attack.
A poignant minute’s silence was held across London at 11am on Tuesday, with roads, workplaces and schools brought to a standstill.
There were moving scenes at London Bridge, where Londoners looked on in tears over a sea of floral tributes to the victims of Saturday night's attack.
Flags have been flying at half mast throughout the day and will continue to into Tuesday evening.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan joined the capital's paramedics in paying tribute near London Bridge.
He posted on Twitter: "Honour to join our fantastic London Ambulance staff in a minute’s silence to remember those killed and injured in Saturday's attack."
People were sobbing at London Bridge during the minute's silence after seven people were killed in the horrific attack.
Dozens of people also gathered at St Ann's Square in Manchester, where tributes have been left to the victims of the Manchester Arena bombing two weeks ago.
Twenty-two people, including children, were killed when Salman Abedi set off a bomb as revellers left an Ariana Grande concert.
England's cricketers, who were playing New Zealand in the ICC Champions Trophy in Cardiff, stopped their game to take part in the minute's silence.
The horror unfolded when three terrorists mowed down pedestrians on London Bridge before going on a stabbing rampage at Borough Market.
Thousands of bouquets and messages have been laid near London Bridge since the terror attack, the second to strike the capital in three months.
The three attackers used 12-inch knives to slash and stab people enjoying a Saturday night out, reportedly shouting "this is for Allah" during the rampage.
They were shot by armed police within minutes of starting the attack.

Four of the victims, Canadian bride-to-be Christine Archibald, Hackney resident James McMullan, nurse Kirsty Boden and French restaurant worker Alexandre, have so far been named.
