A giant Batarang made up of 35,000 LEGO pieces has appeared on London’s South Bank.

The Batarang is complete with smoking rubble as the wings appear to have crash landed on the South Bank.

It stands three metres tall and took 225 hours to build by hand.

At 133 times bigger than the original LEGO piece, the installation has been brought to life to celebrate the cinema release of The LEGO Batman Movie this Friday.

Installed in the early hours of the morning, the smoking wings can be seen until Thursday 9 February at 8pm, at Observation Point by Gabriel’s Wharf.
