A litter of puppies stolen in Kent have been reunited with their owner but police are still on the hunt for the thief responsible.

The six American bulldogs, believed to be worth about £6,000, were taken on December 6 from a home in Rochester.

They were returned after a police appeal.

Detective Sergeant Sam Stuart, of Medway CID, said: “The puppies all appear to be in good health and will be going to the vets to be checked over.

“Nobody has been arrested at this stage and we will be speaking to the owner to establish how they came to be returned.”

Anyone with information that may help the investigation should call Kent Police on 01634 792209, quoting reference 46/233149/19.
