Police have launched an investigation after a Kent schoolgirl was "grabbed by a man who attempted to kiss her".
The girl was walking along Temple Hill, Dartford, when a man, who was standing on some steps, reportedly grabbed her by the wrist.
He is said to have then held her shoulders and lent forward, in what is believed to have been an attempt to kiss her.
The child, who is of secondary school age, pushed him away and fled during the incident, which happened between 5pm and 5.20pm on September 26.
Kent Police officers have made house to house checks and reviewed CCTV in a bid to find the suspect.
With the help of the child, they have created a computer generated image of the man.
He is described as white, aged around 40, about 5ft 8ins tall and of medium build. He had ginger hair and a beard which covered his chin, and was wearing blue baggy jeans and a dark coloured long sleeved top.
Detective Constable Nicki Hilton, from Kent Police, said: "This would have been a very distressing incident for a young child, who has told us that this man also made comments of a sexual nature as she ran away.
"Incidents such as this are thankfully very rare in Dartford, but this area would have been fairly busy at that time of day and I would urge anyone who recognises this image or has any information to get in touch."
