A pair of “Satan worshipper” schoolgirls planned to murder 15 younger students then drink their blood, according to police.
Their supposed plan was foiled when an automated call told one of the would-be killer’s mother that she was missing from class, CNN reports.
She then called assistant principal, of Bartow Middle School in Florida, who found the unnamed 11 and 12-year-old girls in a bathroom.
According to Bartow Police Chief, Joe Hall, they had in their possession a butcher and a kitchen knife, a goblet and a pizza cutter.
As well as declaring themselves Satan worshippers, they also allegedly contemplated eating their victims’ flesh and then planned to kill themselves.
Their homes were raided and map that read “go to kill in bathroom” was found.
The girls’ mobile phones were searched and messages correlating to the plot were discovered, one of which said: “Today is health lesson thank Satan we are doing this in bit.”
Extra police officers and counsellors have been at the school.
Following the incident, on Tuesday, the girls were charged with conspiracy to commit murder, possession of a weapon on school property, carrying a concealed weapon and disruption of a school function.
