A 10-year-old girl was sexually assaulted at a sports park in south-east London.
Detectives said they are hunting a man after the girl was attacked in a wooded area at Mottingham Sports Ground at around 3.30pm on Sunday.
The victim was cycling with her friend in an area known locally as Foxes Fields, off Court Farm Road, when the man approached them.
When the girl got off her bike, the man ran up to her and grabbed her before he carried out the sex attack.
The girl managed to push the man away before he fled in the direction of Dunkery Road.
Police described the man as white, around 5ft 9in, aged in his mid-30s to 40s. He was wearing a blue cap and grey Ralph Lauren t-shirt with shorts.
Detectives today launched an appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Constable Kelly Cretten, from Bromley CID, said: "This was clearly a very distressing and scary incident for a 10-year-old girl and we are keen to hear from any witnesses or anyone who recognises the description of the suspect."
