Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to after an alleged unprovoked attack at a pub left a man unconscious.

The 31-year-old victim was taken to hospital with serious head injuries after he was allegedly set upon by two men in the Brent Tavern in Cricklewood.

Detective Constable Louise Are, of Brent CID, said: "This was an unprovoked attack in which the victim, who was enjoying a night out with friends, was very seriously injured, resulting in him having to recover in hospital for a few days.

"He is still suffering with side effects as a result of the attack."

Police said they want to identify a white man aged between 30 and 40, around 5ft 10ins tall with cropped ginger hair, stubble and tattoos on both arms.

The alleged incident happened at around 2.35am on Friday, April 3 at the pub in Gladstone Parade off Edgware Road.

A 24-year-old man has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm.

Anyone with information is asked to call Brent CID on 101 alternatively, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
