Police are hunting a man who punched an off-duty police officer in the mouth at a north London Tube station.

The officer was at Finsbury Park station when he spotted a man vandalising the side of a train.

The officer began filming the offence for evidence when the man lunged forward and hit him in the mouth.

Police released an image of a suspect, pictured clutching a bottle of Cockburns whisky, on Monday.

Officers want to trace this man

The attack happened at about 9.20pm on December 3 last year.

Anyone with information is asked to call British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference number 604 of December 3, 2018.
