A pig was filmed lunging at a jogger as it made an audacious bid for freedom after escaping from police in north-east London.
Video shot in Redbridge shows the pig scampering across a busy road in front of a double-decker bus with two police officers in hot pursuit.
A jogger in a high vis jacket then tries to intervene, but the pig lurches towards him, causing him to dart to the side.
Traffic had to be halted due to the the incident, which happened on the A12 at about 12.45pm on Wednesday, and the pig was later safely recaptured.
The video was shared on Twitter by the Met's Road and Transport Police.
They tweeted: "Nothing to see here - just east traffic officers chasing a pig who then decides to chase after a passing jogger in Redbridge."
A Met Police spokesman added: “We were called at 12.45pm on Wednesday, April 12 to the A12 in Redbridge, near the junction with Hainault Road, to reports of a pig on the loose.
“Officers attended the scene and the pig was safely recaptured and returned to the nearby land that it had escaped from.”
