An unemployed man allegedly armed with a samurai sword and wearing a hockey mask in the street will appear in court tomorrow.

Abdullahi Hassan Abdullahi, 21, was arrested by police in Islington, north London after an incident in Hornsey Road shortly after midnight.

Abdullahi of Elthonrne Road, Archyway, north London was charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
