A woman who was found hiding an AK-47 in her north London flat has been jailed.
Katrina Jordan, 35, hid the automatic assault rifle in a holdall under her bed, police said.
Multiple rounds of live ammunition were also discovered by the Met's Trident gang crime unit during a raid in Finsbury Park in January.
Jordan, of Woodberry Grove, was jailed for six years on Thursday at Snaresbrook Crown Court after being convicted of being in possession of a firearm.
Detective Constable Zoe Jelliman, from Trident, said the sentence should be a deterrent to other women who hide weapons.
"Katrina Jordan’s conviction and jail term should be a deterrent, not just to all those who are involved in gun crime but particularly women - wives, girlfriends and sisters - who are assisting the gunmen by storing and hiding deadly weapons," she said.
"Through misguided loyalty, they could find themselves facing lengthy prison sentences and placing their families at risk."
