A man has been charged with murder after a woman was found dead inside her car in Hackney, east London.

Kennedi Westcarr-Sabaroche, 25, was found on Whiston Road on Saturday, Metropolitan Police said.

Officers forced entry to the vehicle and attempted to resuscitate the woman before the arrival of ambulance staff, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Formal identification has not taken place but her family have been informed and a post-mortem examination will be carried out on Monday afternoon, the force said.

Detectives arrested Gogoa Tape, 27, from Marsworth House, on Saturday and he was charged with murder on Sunday.

He will appear in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
