A man was stabbed and another was struck repeatedly with a heavy object after a mass brawl broke out outside a takeaway in north London.

Police raced to the scene of the fight outside Tasty’s Chicken and Pizza in Edgware in the early hours of this morning.

The alleged brawl began between a large group of men in the high street at about 3.30am.

Shocked bystanders dialled 999 after witnessing the fight.

Scotland Yard said officers arrived at the scene within minutes and found a man stabbed and another with blunt trauma injuries.

Medics rushed the pair to a central London hospital where they are in a stable condition.

Detectives from Colindale Police station are investigating and issued an appeal for witnesses to the fight.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or via Crimestoppers anonymously.
