Barking stabbing: Young man, 24, knifed to death in east London street

A young man has been stabbed to death in a knife attack in east London.

The victim, 24, was found injured after police were called to Crows Road, Barking shortly after 11.30pm on Thursday.

Despite paramedics battling to save his life he was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrest have been made, Scotland Yard said.

Barking and Dagenham police wrote on Twitter: “Police are currently on scene in the Crows Road/ Harts Lane area of Barking dealing with a fatal stabbing.

“Please bear with us at these very early stages of the investigation whilst large scale crime scenes are in place.

“If you witnessed or have any info, please contact police.”

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "Formal identification awaits and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.

"The Homicide and Major Crime Command have been informed.

"There is a crime scene in place and officers remain on scene. "

The man's next-of-kin have been informed.
