Victoria Beckham found life could be tricky at the top as she put the final touches to this year's Christmas tree.

In stilettos and a little black dress, she climbed a step ladder to place a doll bearing an uncanny resemblance to herself on top of the bright pink tree.

The snap, posted on Twitter today gives a glimpse of the practical difficulties of the former Spice Girl's life of glamour.
