A job opening for Visitor Services Manager on St. Michael’s Mount has piqued the interest of hundreds as it involves a pay check of up to £29,000 and free housing. Oh, and it’s located on a picturesque island.
St. Michael’s Mount is the iconic tidal island with a 15th century castle built on it, located off the coast near Penzance in the south west of England.
The 57-acre island is connected to the town of Marazion by a man-made causeway which you can walk across to access the island during low tide.
The Visitor Services Manager role includes leading a team of enthusiastic individuals to help oversee the 350,000 visitors that the island sees each year.
The successful applicant will be “responsible for the visitor journey from the car parks to the castle and line management of over 30 seasonal employees”.
Qualities they are looking for is someone who is practical, positive and a solution-focused individual, along with being a skilled multitasker with exceptional organisational ability.
