This artist has given a quirky gift to fellow Instagrammers consumed by wanderlust.
From Tower Bridge to the Big Apple, Prague-based artist Eliska Podzimkova has traveled the world, adding her charming illustrations to various photos of places she’s visited.
The 23-year-old has earnt a name for herself on Instagram under the moniker @animateny, attracting more than 50,000 fans to her online portfolio.
Some of her fan’s favourite images include a cloud that has been doodled over to look like a dog and a skateboarder that appears to be grinding across the Brooklyn Bridge.
Eliska has lived halfway across the world in Prague, but says that she always dreamed of New York - the city in which most of her illustrations feature.
“As a student I always had a problem to think of something what to draw”, Ms. Podzimkova told the Evening Standard.
“One time my dad gave me a graphic tablet and I ended up having the same issue. I didn’t know what to draw so I just took a photo and started drawing on it. It became something new, fresh and special to me.”
The illustrator says the ideas for her artworks usually come from a day of sporadically snapping her surroundings.
“Sometimes I just go outside for a walk with my camera and take a random pictures”, she says.
Then I come home and go through it and hopefully something comes up in my mind.”
Avid traveller Eliska says that she hopes to visit more countries in 2016 and discover new subjects to apply her trademark illustrations to.
