This absorbing map links some of London's most famous literary characters with the corners of the capital they were known to frequent.

Including characters from more than 250 novels, the Literary London map is the work of artist Dex and interior designer Anna Burles as part of the Literary London Art Collection.

Intricate: every character from Dorian Gray to Dick Whittington feature (Picture: Dex)

The map includes Ebenezer Scrooge’s backyard in the East End, Sherlock Holmes' stomping ground in north-west London and Bridget Jones’ flat in Southwark.

A description of the piece said: “Each character has been plotted in the corners of the city they most liked to roam or chose to call home (sometimes on Her Majesty’s Pleasure).”
