THE WORKOUT

Omorovicza X Equinox Oxygen Booster Facial £125 for 60 minutes (0207 666 6000; omorovicza.com)

What is it? A Hungarian mud facial with a day-pass to Equinox — Kensington’s most exclusive gym.

Tell me more...The facial itself is a modern reinterpretation of traditional Hungarian massage techniques designed to firm up droopy areas and drain excess fluid. Head to the treadmill straight after and you’ll get a double hit of increased circulation and twice the glow. Ask your therapist to add some extraction (pore cleaning) — highly recommended.

THE SPEED CLEAN

Skin Laundry Laser and Light Facial Liberty, £50 for 15 minutes and the first session free (skinlaundry.com)

What is it? The most exciting LA export since green juice: a functional deep clean using LED light.

So, like a speed-wash setting? Yes, but more thorough. Pop on your goggles and your therapist will pass a YAG laser (for fine lines, sun damage and any lingering bacteria) over your face twice followed by a dose of light therapy. The sensation feels like elastic bands pinging and you’ll smell the bacteria burning. Perfect for minimising visible pores.

THE NATURAL PLUS

Elethea’s Biochemist Method Facial Hari’s, £185 for 60 minutes (harissalon.com)

What is it? A high-tech, machine-based facial combined with 100 per cent natural products.

There’s a lot going on here... First your skin will be introduced to the Elethea five-step freeze and thaw method in which natural ingredients like vitamin A and hyaluronic acid are massaged, target-applied and even melted via ice cubes into your skin. It feels heavenly — but before you get too comfy, your therapist will whip out a hydra-dermabrasion machine, which jets out a blend of serums, water and oxygen to exfoliate and vacuum out apoptotic cells (essentially dead cells), making this great for adult acne and sun damage.

111CRYO Facial

THE BIG FREEZE

111CRYO FacialHarvey Nichols fourth floor, £75 for 30 minutes (harveynichols.com)

What is it? A half-hour blast of –31-degree air to push skin’s collagen production into overdrive.

Sounds chilly, why so cold? Think of it as the plunge-pool of facials — brief and bracing. Your therapist will double cleanse then wash your face with colder-than-ice nitrogen-free air. ‘The body’s reaction to the cold is sending white blood cells to the face,’ explains 111Skin’s managing director Daniel Smith. ‘The immediate results are plumped-up fine lines and longer-term increased collagen production.’ Plus, the cold destroys bacteria so it’s brilliant for killing a last-minute acne flare-up.

THE INNER FACIAL

Bespoke Sculpting Facial Charlotte Connoley, £160 for one hour (nicholajoss.com)

What is it? Developed by facialist Nichola Joss, Charlotte Connoley kneads away at skin inside your mouth. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Carine Roitfeld and Keira Knightley are all fans.

Inside the mouth? How does that even work? After donning Latex gloves, Connoley will massage your cheek and jaw from within with her ‘magic hands’ to manually sculpt and contour your face. Be warned — this isn’t the most relaxing experience. As Connoley explains: ‘It’s intense but it has the most insane lifting results. I work under the master muscle along the jawline to get rid any tension and underlying congestion, removing toxins as I go.’
