Kenzo H&M: fans camp overnight to get their hands on Kenzo X H&M collaboration

Fans have been queueing through the night to get their hands on the much anticipated Kenzo X H&M collaboration.

The high end and high street brands announced their collaboration back in May earlier this year and released the collection look book last month.

The queues are reminiscent of those last year for the Balmain X H&M collaboration which resulted in the brief closure of the Oxford Street store due to health and safety.

A note on the store's front door said: "Due to health and safetythe store will now be closed until further notice."

Hoping for more controlled crowds this year, H&M have rolled out the collection in a number of stored which opened at 9am this morning.

Typical of Lim and Leon's Kenzo aesthetic, the collaboration boasts a smorgasbord of bold hues, animal prints and flared silhouettes.

Speaking of the collection, the design pair said: "With this collaboration with H&M we want to think big, push the boundaries and bring the new energy of Kenzo to everyone around the world."

Creative Advisor at H&M Ann-Sofie Johansson said: "We can’t wait to share with everyone the world of Kenzo x H&M, with all of its creativity, fun and love of fashion."

Joining forces with the high street stalwart is set to be a smart commercial move for Kenzo, following in the footsteps of successful H&M collaborations with the high-end likes of Isabel Marant, Alexander Wang, Matthew Williamson, Marni, Karl Lagerfeld and Balmain.
